Ethical Principles Our club strives to consider sportsmanship, humanity and generally all the values, that should guide individual referees, as well as the board of TaSe, when facing the challenges of tomorrow.
These ethical principles defined by board of TaSe are not a scripture or code of laws. Rather, they are a set of values that help us all in everyday life. These values have now been written down for everyone to see.
These are the ethical principles of Floorball Referee club of Tampere. Ethical principles are our view of what constitutes good and just refereeing. As members of TaSe, we promise to follow these general principles. Ethical principles also give guidelines to board on how to work for the benefit of all members. The Ethical Principles of Floorball Referee Club of Tampere
Honesty and FairnessOur acting as referees is based on honesty and equal treatment. We interprete the rules of floorball both justly and without prejudice. Equality and Respect for Fellow People
In all our work we respect our neighbours. We treat everyone with equal respect, because neither intolerance nor physical or psychological harassment is a part of referee work. Personal Development and TrainingWe commit to refereeing by continuously developing our way of working, by constant interaction within our membership and with sports clubs. As a club, we encourage development by arranging open training and discussion events.
Openness in Our Work We are open in our activities, and we welcome all referees who want to join as members of our club. We involve new, starting referees and help their development by guiding with our actions and by sharing our experiences.
Sportsmanship and Good Manners We prepare for every game with care and we always strive to do our best. We behave in correct, firm, and decisive manner and with credibility. We make sure that our equipment is in order and that our attire is neat. We follow the principle: "Once a referee, always a referee". In other words, we follow the codes of decency and loyalty. Commitment to Duties as RefereeWe commit to our duties by respecting the games assigned to us, and by arriving at the venue in time. We never appear intoxicated in sports events, and we do not condone use of intoxicants.
